With a new haircut and a new sense of queerness, Bella returns from her first semester at college to her suffocating Dallas hometown, determined to confess her long repressed feelings to her childhood best friend. Instead, she’s dragged to a New Years Eve rager from hell where she finds a cold-blooded creature in the closet.
Jessica Herlitz and I were roommates at Prague Film School, where I acted in several of her short films. We bonded over the quiet torture of loving your childhood best friend, and, naturally, had to make a film about it.
